Storybook Marriage is a weekend marriage experience that helps couples orient themselves to where they are in the epic story God is writing in their lives and in their family. Every story has a beginning, middle and end. Every couple wants a storybook marriage! However, there are many things set against that in today's world. Through the guidance of the one who invented marriage to begin with, couples walk away with a plan, co-authored by God, to live out their happily-ever-after.
After years of doing "marriage enrichment" weekends, Dr. Pratt began to explore the benefits of something more intensive. So, in 2012 and 2013, he began a series of MarriageWorks Intensives that began on Friday mornings early and went straight through Sunday afternoons. Couples experienced great progress and laid down plans that would move their marriage forward. However, due to the time commitment and expense, it was difficult for couples to commit. So, working through the local church, Dr. Pratt has developed Storybook Marriage to be more intensive than a marriage enrichment weekend to get on with equipping couples to help them script a happily-ever-after, but also encapsulated in two days of commitment.

Friday evening from 6-9 pm, we spend the time delving into the beginning of your marital story. We have found that there are incredible stories to be shared! What got you together? Why did you fall in love? What did the wedding cake do to either or both of you?
In any good story, there is a villain. So, what threatens your marriage? Closing out the session on Friday, we look at an overview of common villains in marriage.
Saturday is filled with a combination of exposing the threat, creating a Biblical strategy for overcoming and laying down practical plans for a happily-ever-after.
Saturday is a long day, from 8:30 until 5 pm, but couples walk away with more than a pep-talk. They leave, having authored a script for the next Act of their lives together that leads to a Storybook Marriage.
This experience is a combination of teaching, discussion and couple-time. The teaching speaks to everyday issues and practical solutions. While Bible-based, the use of story and multi-media helps make the learning fun and relevant.
